Notification of Eligibility will be via our website using your User ID and PINActivate your User ID and PIN - Know it, Use it, Be Responsible for your state financial aid! Early Evaluations (7th Semester) All students whose transcripts are submitted electronically to the Florida Department of Education (FDOE) for an official early evaluation (based on academic progress in the middle of the last year of high school and test scores for tests taken by January 31) will receive an eligibility or ineligibility determination online from the FDOE. Determinations based on early (7th semester) evaluation are posted beginning in March. You cannot lose an award based on early evaluation, unless you fail to earn a standard Florida high school diploma from a Florida public or FDOE-registered private high school. End-of-Year Evaluations (8th Semester) All students whose final transcripts are submitted (following the student’s last term in high school) will receive an eligibility or ineligibility determination online. Determinations based on the end-of-year evaluations are posted online for all awardees beginning in June (with test scores through April) and in August (with test scores through June). NEW - Mid-Year Graduates Eligible students who graduate (or earn a GED diploma) mid-year may receive an initial award in the spring term following the student’s graduation. The FFAA must be submitted by August 31 of the student’s graduation year (prior to the spring term enrolled). Determinations based on mid-year evaluation will be posted to students’ online history screens following application and evaluation of high school transcripts and test scores. The Process The award (or ineligibility) determination will be posted to a student's online Financial Aid Recipient History (FARH) screen and is viewable by the student. Florida Virtual Campus The Florida Virtual Campus website at www.flvc.org allows public high school students to review their academic progress toward meeting initial eligibility requirements for the Florida Bright Futures Scholarship Program and course requirements for admission into the State University System. Public high school students in grades 9-12 may access their records by creating their own login ID and password. College Notification Notification of a student's award will be made available to all eligible postsecondary institutions via a secured internet directory of eligible students when a student's award status is official. If the student can see an eligible FAS, FMS, or GSV determination posted to his record, so can the eligible postsecondary institutions. |
