Critical Teacher Shortage Programs
The 2011 Florida Legislature repealed the Critical Teacher Shortage Student Loan Forgiveness Program
and the Critical Teacher Shortage Tuition Reimbursement Program in the General Appropriations Act.
The Office of Student Financial Assistance (OSFA) will not provide awards to new or renewing teachers for these programs.
The Robert C. Byrd Honors Scholarship
The United States Department of Education did not provide funding for the Robert C. Byrd Honors
Scholarship Program for the 2011-12 academic year. No initial or renewal awards will be made.
